This is a very unusual oxidized original antique fireplace mantle in Green marble from the Empire period with lion claw (griffon)The front has 2 diamond point details.The Marble is Vert Maurin with provenance from hameau de Maurin in the Alpes-De-Haute-Provence. This marble was also used for the Grave stone of Napoléon Premiér, in the Invalides in Paris. It was built in the 19th century.
