This is a original antique French rustic fireplace mantel in a hard limestone. The ancient surface has been hand-hammered and chiseled. Some remains of the original patina is the extra. The front is asymmetric and this is very unusual. This reclaimed mantle out of a farm is from the Louis XIII period, 17th century.
