This is a massive and grand original antique fireplace surround made in the Belgian Marble de Rochefort (Affiliated with abbey de Rochefort which is well known of its famous Belgian Trappist Beer. Exceptional mantel from a Belgian palace. The carving is of a quality that shows the high standard of the decorator. This mantle is one in its kind and could be used even in a rococo interior design room. It is form the Louis XV period, 18th century. One of the few chimney mantles of the Haute Collection of Maison leon Van den Bogaert Antique Fireplaces And Architectural Elements.
